Welcome to Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop!  The Divas and our October Guests are back hopping again today to bring a little more inspiration your way with the newly released sets. All of our new products are available to order in the Verve shop and are 25% off! Plus, we've got a pretty sweet hop prize in store...

As you hop about, be sure to leave a little shout out in the comments for your chance to win our sneaky little giveaway!

Comment deadline for prize drawing is Tuesday, October 25.

Lesley is hosting our second October Viva la Verve sketch this morning, and I thought the sketch would be perfect for these pretty flowers from Autumn Blessings

I started by stamping the flowers tone on tone in soft sky, then cutting with the coordinating Autumn Thanks Die Set.  I dressed the center flower up with a button and twine for accent.

I found a scrap of paper that I had cut down for a project last year and didn't use and it went perfectly with the soft sky flowers, so rounded the corners and tucked it in as my vertical piece. I went for some wide striped ribbon for the horizontal piece and couldn't resist adding a bow up top because I simply love this ribbon.

Okay, now for the hop list... everything kicks off on my blog, Poetic Artistry.  See ya there!

Want to win some shiny new Verve? We'll be be picking a random comment winner on one of the hop spots below to win a $40 gift voucher to Verve! To be entered in the giveaway, leave a little comment love as you hop around to the blogs linked below!

October Release Spotlight Hops Day 4

Welcome back to Day 4 of Verve's October Spotlight Hops! It's been a fabulous time sharing our new release with you this week and the Verve Divas and Guests are back today with one more hop spotlighting the third set in our release, Autumn Blessings and the coordinating Autumn Thanks Die Set.  All of the new Verve you've seen over the past few days is available to order in the shop and on sale 25% off!  Hooray!

Once again, there's a prize drawing from all the comments along the hop, so be sure to give a little shout out in the comments section as you hop about. Scroll to the bottom of this post for all the deets and the master hop list!

First up in the spotlight today is the Autumn Blessings set. I absolutely adore wreaths and all those fun little sprays and laurels you see added to chalkboard lettering, so that was what I had in mind when I designed the set.  And the coordinating die cuts for each element make things so much fun to layer and tuck into your layout.  I'm sure you'll be seeing tons of cards with this set from me!  That big flower is also a favorite, one that I can see for autumn as well as in reds for a stylized poinsettia on Christmas cards.  Some of the sentiments are old favorites from the retired Happy Fall set, and all of the sentiments in Autumn Blessings are sized to fit inside the wreath.

Autumn Blessings is a 4 x 8" set of 16 clear photopolymer stamps. Fall is in the air with this beautiful set of scripted autumn sentiments and imagery. Included are a beautiful leafy flower, a wreath to frame the sentiments and several leaf and flower add-on images. Whether you celebrate harvest, Thanksgiving or an all-occasion wreath for cardmaking, this set will help you make some beautiful creations.

The Autumn Thanks Die Set is the coordinating die set for Autumn BlessingsIt includes dies for the two larger pumpkins and the mug. It includes dies to cut all the images in the set (except the small pumpkin), plus a thanks word die in the same style as many of our other word dies. Each die leaves an approximately 1/16" border around the stamped image.

October Release Spotlight Hops Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's October Spotlight Hops!  Have you enjoyed seeing the inspiration the Divas and Guests have been sharing with our NEW release this week?  You're in for some more eye candy today as we shine our spotlight on Everything Nice and the coordinating Pumpkin Spice Die Set.  Everything in our new release, along with coordinating fall and winter favorites are on sale 25% off right now!

And since we love to celebrate here at Verve, we have a fun little giveaway going on again today! Be sure to scroll to the bottom for all the deets and the master hop list!

First up in the spotlight today is the Everything Nice set. If you hopped along with the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, you probably saw a few cards from me using this fun new set.  I absolutely adore fall, but have never been much of a Halloween fan.  But trick or treating with my boys last year was one of the funnest experiences ever and the holiday is kind of growing on me.{grin} So I set out to design a Halloween set that didn't scream Halloween, but could be used year round for other occasions and had a slightly different spin than you see elsewhere.  Enter Everything Nice, my Cinderella goes to the ball and drinks a Pumpkin Spice latte while her fairy Godmother pulls it all together stamp set.

Everything Nice is a 4 x 8" set of 11 clear photopolymer stamps. Whether you're Cinderella heading for the ball, a Halloween fan, or just love a little pumpkin spice in your life, this magical set is perfect for you. Coordinating dies for the two larger pumpkins and the mug are available in the Pumpkin Spice Die Set and our previously released Gown Die works beautifully with the dress image in this set.

Welcome back to Day 2 of Verve's October Spotlight Hops!  Over the weekend we launched a new crop of Verve stamps and dies. Today we're shining our spotlight on the first set in our release, Angel Voices. It's a sweet little Christmas set themed around some favorite Christmas hymns and inspired by some childhood ornaments of mine. And for even more fun, this set has a coordinating die set, the Angelic Die Set with dies for the two sizes of angels and all the mini shapes.

First up in the spotlight today is a brand new set called Angel Voices. This set was inspired by some darling little wooden angel ornaments my Mom bought my siblings and I for Christmas one year. She gave us a different one each year, but these little angels were my favorite and I would line them up in a row.  I tried to capture them from my memory, since my angel was lost several years back.  The sentiments are all themed around angels and various lyrics from Christmas hymns.

Angel Voices is a 4 x 8" set of 15 clear photopolymer stamps. This primitive angel set inspired by Christmas hymns and childhood ornaments is a perfect start to your holiday cardmaking. This set is full of beautifully scripted sentiments and darling angelic images.

The Angelic Die Set is the coordinating die set for Angel Voices. It includes dies to cut both sizes of angels, plus the two sizes of thatched hearts, stars and crosses.

October Release Day Spotlight Blog Hop

Welcome to our October Release Spotlight Hops and Happy World Card Making Day!  We're switching things up a bit this release and that means that ALL of the new products are available to purchase in the Verve shop RIGHT NOW!  No waiting! Hooray!

This release spans the Fallidays... Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas with three beautiful sets and coordinating dies to make your fall crafting sessions a bunch of fun! And it's all 25% off, including previously released fall and winter favorites!

We'll be spotlighting each of the three new sets with its own hop next week, but today is designer's choice, so you're sure to see a little bit of everything!  Plus there's a comment prize of the ENTIRE release up for grabs, so be sure to give a little shout out to the Divas and Guests as you hop about.

Speaking of Guests, hopping along with our talented crew of Divas this release are two very talented special guests. You can read a bit more about each of them below, then scroll down for all the blog hop deets and full product reveals.

Joining us as a Guest Diva this release is Lisa Blastick.  She's a regular challenge participant and I just love her layering and intricate die cut usage.  There is so much depth and detail in her beautiful cards.  Lisa blogs at Beyond Beauty. Below is a little bit more about her and a little Q&A about her stamping style.

Hello, I am a huge card maker and scrapbooker. I started my first scrapbook page in the beginning of May 2006, then a few years later started card making and love making them.  I have been very fortunate to be published in a few magazines as well as online scrapbooking websites. I was so excited to have been asked by Julee to be part of the Verve October release! LOVE all the stamps, die cuts and sketches at Mojo Monday and Viva La Verve.  I currently design for Cheery Lynn Designs and have past designed for Heartfelt Creations and Donna Salazar Designs. I have been married for over 28 years and I'm mother of four adult children! I have two girls (27,24), twin sons (26), and one Italian Greyhound. I have been an RN for the past 20 years in the operating room. I really like my job but I much rather be crafting full time.

1. How/when did you get hooked on stamping?  I started stamping a bit when I was scrapbooking, but it wasn't until I started making card that stamping became pretty regular

2. How often do you stamp? I stamp often, because I make lots of cards.

3. What style(s) are you most drawn to creating? I love several styles, however layering seems to be my favorite.

4. What do you love most about paper crafting? To create something for someone that is very personal, unique and one of a kind. It is also my relaxing place.

5. What technique or product is currently making your paper crafting heart go pitter patter? Love new stamps and die cuts!!

Also joining us for this release is Vickie Zimmer. Vickie is a long time Verve customer and a returning Guest Diva.  She creates beautiful, unique cards that are rich in technique and interesting color combinations. Vickie blogs at Smitten With All Things Stamping. Here's a little more about her in her own words.

Hi, I'm married to my highschool "sweetheart" for many, many years and have two daughters. Moved to the Sunny South 25 years ago!! Scrapbooked for years and then my sis got me hooked on cards!! Absolutely Addicted and Seriously Easily Enabled!!

1. How/when did you get hooked on stamping? One New Year’s Day found me and my sister at 6:30am in pj’s, drinking coffee of course, while she was introducing me to Stampin’ Up. Needless to say I was hooked and many dollars later my husband worries the bonus room will fall in to the garage?! Then I bought something on eBay and the seller introduced me to Splitcoast Stampers- a whole new card-making world opened up. I found Verve while searching for a specific sentiment for a baby card- "a baby is a bit of stardust blown from the mouth of God"  from the retired Practically Perfect set).

2. How often do you stampWell that depends- lately it has only been on the weekends as spring and summer are busy times for me. In the winter I try to add a few week nights even if it is just for a little bit.

3. What style(s) are you most drawn to creating?  I would have to say that I am more a clean/layered stamper although, I have found myself doing a bit of clean and simple (CAS) off and on lately. Once in a while I distress and a bow (twine or seam binding) always makes me smile!

4. What do you love most about paper crafting? There are so many things to love- playing with ink and stamps makes me happy not to mention all the friends I have made along the way. Don’t forget the embellishments, water-coloring, stencils, modeling paste, glitter…. Need I say more?

5. What technique or product is currently making your paper crafting heart go pitter patter? Lately I have been in love with water coloring and stencils/modeling paste. Although, I don’t use these a lot, I love the look.
