Welcome to November's Diva Dare!  Stacey here, bringing you another day of Vellum Visions inspiration for this month's challenge!  Soft and classy...vellum always makes a big impression!  So, this month we are daring you to add some vellum to your card or project.

Vellum!  What can I say?!  I LOVE vellum...it makes me happy!  It's so soft and subtle, yet adds such a fabulous texture and elegance to cards that is perfect for all occasions.  As I was flipping through my beloved Verve stamp sets, this one.. Shining Star, really caught my eye!  I paired the faithful sentiment from it with the Sweet Scallop Die and Starry Die.  Vellum stars...yes!  I embellished the soft stars with some sparkly sequins and a fun bow from the Pastel Polka Ribbon Collection.

April 2014 Day 3

Laurie here bringing you April's Diva Dare, day 3!  In honor of Spring's arrival (in some parts of North America anyway!), this month's Dare is entitled "Little Things". What we're daring you to do this month is to create a baby or kids themed card. 

I created a baby card for this challenge!  I love making baby cards...it's such a happy occasion!  I used some pretty Pebbles patterned paper paired with the Verve sets Treasured Words and Shining Star.  Along with those sets, I used the coordinating Rounded Rectangles Verve die.  For embellishment, I added a few girly baubles.  :-)  The seam binding is from the Truly, Madly, Deeply collection.

Deadline to link your cards is 8PM Mountain on Wednesday, April 23rd.  Entries must be posted 4/4 or later, include at least one Verve product, be a baby or kids themed card, and be linked up to the linky widget by 8pm Mountain on 4/23/14.

I have used the awesome Verve Stamp set called Shining Star, I adore the paired sentiments together; it makes a sweet baby card or even an encouraging young persons card. I have used A Cut Above Starry Die by Verve for the stars, luv this die. I used today's Mojo Monday sketch, it is contest week there so be sure to play along. There are always lots of chances at winning Verve Stamps, I cannot wait to see what you create! I had a blast with this month's dare, I hope I have inspired you...sparkle & shine!

December Diva Dare-Day 2

"Playing Favorites", December Diva Dare

Welcome to the last Diva Dare of 2013!  This month's Dare is entitled "Playing Favorites"and it is a fun one indeed!

What we're daring you to do this month is to post your favorite Verve Stamps 2013 creation OR make a new card using your favorite Verve stamp set.  

Hi everyone, it is Teresa; and I am a addicted to Verve....lol. Seriously, I adore my Verve Stamps and anticipate each and every release. I knew I would not be able to narrow this down to a couple. I have been with Julee and Verve Stamps since 2009 and getting new Verve Stamps in the mail is still a highlight for me. I adore all of the Plain Jane scripture stamps and now Julee has combined some of them into larger sets.....I luv this idea, you can get yours here. Are you ready for my favorites? I adore Polka Stars, I used it in my card today. I have a thing for hearts, so Wild Thing is another favorite of mine and many, many more......Whimsy Tree Plain Jane, Wishful Elegance, Snow Wonderful, Feel The Sun, Love's Flower, Dream Big, Love Notes, You and I, Wings of Love, Lean On Me, Holiday Greetings, Let It Be, Poppy Birthday, and Unto Us. 

So, you can see my list is quite long and there are tons more I like as well. You really cannot go wrong with Verve and I look so very forward to 2014 and what Julee will share! I have used the Mojo Monday sketch for my card today, I used the Verve Stamp set Shining Star for the main circle panel. I a also going to share a few of my favorite cards from this year.

I hope you are still with me, below are my answers to "The Diva Fab Five Questionnaire". Let us know if you decide to respond to the questionnaire too, I would luv to read your answers!

What are your three favorite Verve products? I mentioned lots of stamps above, but another favorite of mine are The Cut Above Dies by Verve, The Banner Bundle, Classy Label Die, and Jotted Heart Die are just a few. 

What is your current go-to color combo? I luv color, when I was a teenager my room was decorated in rainbows. I adore green, any shade; aqua, jade, mint, olive, and turquoise and the list goes on and on. I am really luvin grey as of lately and like paring it with aqua, peach, and pink. I like using black and brown for a pop with my colors.

What is your current go-to embellishment? Ribbon, preferably seam binding; Verve Ribbon Collections are stunning! I also luv using Washi Tape, Carnival Tickets, and Enamel Dots...oh, and always a little glitter...teehehehe.

What is your favorite stamping or organizational tool? My favorite stamping tool is my SU Distressing Tool..hands down. I use the SU DVD style cases for storing my Verve Stamps, luv these too. I also like my Quickutz magnetic folders for storing my dies. 

What is your favorite treat to eat while stamping? I enjoy my coffee, I use Starbucks Veranda Blond Blend K-Cups with Truvia and Fat Free Sweet Italian Cream. I also like Godiva Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate Truffles.

May Diva Dare-Day 8

Hey there!  It's Laurie here for another day of Diva Dare!  I have a fun CAS card for you today.  There is still time to play along so here are the details....

Stars & Stripes May Diva Dare

This month's dare pays tribute to Diva Amber's (Stamping Scrapbooker) military service and Diva Laurie Willison's (Soapbox Creations) wonderful use of stripes on her cards.  So we're daring you to create a card using stars and/or stripes.  While the title may conjure up visions of red, white and blue any stars and stripes will do! If you're feeling pretty in pink, go for it! Just remember to use at least one Verve product on your creation!  If you want to get really daring, you can add the extra challenge of making it a CAS card with stars and/or stripes, as that is Diva Laurie's signature style.  However, that is not a requirement, just an optional twist to the Dare if you're feeling daring!

(Fun huh? Stars and Stripes!)  Here is my card...

I used the reverse side of the rope (again....kinda hooked on stripes!)  from Strong Anchor in yellow ink.  I added in a sentiment and image from Shining Star.  It's kinda hard to see in the picture, but the stars are full of Star Dust Stickles.  :)

April Diva Dare - Day 9

Hi Verve fans!  Laurie here, and it's my turn to share with you how I answered this month's dare! 
This month, we are being inspired by two of our Divas - Marisa and Charmaine!  The theme is actually called "Bright Blooms and Butterflies"! 

So, I admit to being a bit of a Diva Dare rebel.  Yep.  It's true.  LOL!  As I was browsing through Marisa and Charmaine's  blogs I was so smitten with  some of their cards they made using the new Shining Star set!  You can see the card Marisa made HERE and the one Charmaine made HERE.

I was also so taken with how they both liked to use white card bases, so that is what inspired how I started my card!  I chose some brightly colored patterned paper and also added in some dry embossing (two things that Charmaine is known for).

To embellish my card, I added some vellum stars that I made using the new Starry Die as well as some bling...gotta have some bling!  :-)
