Celebrate Good Times - August Diva Dare

Welcome to August's Diva Dare! Jen here with my take on this month's dare entitled Celebrate Good Times.     

Verve is turning 7 this month and we’d love to see your celebration cards.  Think wedding, birthday, anniversary… anything that brings the confetti out!

Today I'm sharing a clean and simple birthday card I made for a friend of my daughter. She LOVES bright fun colors so I went with white, lime green and bright pink. I started with a white A2 card base and then layered it with another white piece of card stock embossed with dots. I used a scalloped border punch to create the three little scallops and added three sequins to the top. I stamped Birthday To You Plain Jane on top in bright pink and die cut it with a large die from the Banner Bundle Die Set.

May 2014 Diva Dare - Day 11

Hi everyone! It's Jen here with my take on this month's Diva Dare!  In honor of the newest release, this month's Dare is entitled "Petals and Wings".    

What we're daring you to do this month is create a card with both a flower and a butterfly on it.

Here's what I came up with:

When I set about making my card I knew exactly who it was going to be for. My daughter has a birthday party to go tonight for a friend of hers who is turning 10. They both love bright bold funky colors and all things girly so I started with some fun bright paper from Doodlebug's Sugar Shoppe paper pad. I combined Verve's awesome Birthday To You Plain Jane with Petals and Wings stamps and Wings and Petals dies. I added buttons to the flower centers and a bit of tiny twinkles here and there for sparkle!

Deadline to link your cards is 8PM Mountain on Wednesday, May 21st.  Entries must be posted 5/2 or later,include at least one Verve product, both a flower and a butterfly, and be linked up to the linky widget by 8pm Mountain on 5/21/14.

April Diva Dare-Day 2

Good morning Verve fans, Teresa here with you this morning for Day 2 of this month's Diva Dare!   This month we are challenging you to "Bright Blooms and Butterflies", a combination of Diva Charmaine's (Oodabug Alley) and Diva Marisa's (Rosemary Reflections) signature styles. Charmaine often uses wonderful, bright colours on her cards and Marisa uses lots of lowers and butterflies. So this month, we dare you to create a colorful card using either a flower or butterfly image, (or if you'd prefer... a fun die shape) as the focal element. 

I have used today's Mojo Monday Sketch to start and then I went for the bright colored patterned papers.  I used the gorgeous flower from the Surely Goodness set and the matching die to cut it out; Goodness Flowers Die Set.  I used the Plain Jane birthday sentiment Birthday To You.  I scattered a few butterflies with sweet gemstones added and a few matching buttons.  This is how I answered this month's dare, can't wait to see how you answer the dare....have fun!
