May 2016 Spotlight Hops Day 1

Welcome to Verve's May Spotlight Hops!  We've got a new release coming your way this Friday, May 20, and we're so excited to share our first looks at the new stamping goodies with you!  The next three days we'll be putting on a daily blog hop to showcase the new products and also give you a chance to WIN some new Verve! Hooray!

Hopping along with our talented crew of Divas this month are two very special guests. You can read a bit more about them below, then scroll down for all the blog hop deets and full product reveals.

Lori Craig is joining us again for a second Guest Diva appearance.  She has such a beautiful style and an even sweeter personality and is a pure treasure to work with. Shortly after guesting last fall, she sent me a set suggestion that partially came to fruition in today's featured set, and I'm so excited to have her back again blessing us with another fabulous grouping of cards!  To read more about Lori, click here to view her spotlight write-up from October.

Also joining us as a guest this month is Laura Jane.  Her style completely captured my heart over at The Card Concept challenge and I can't wait for you to see the marvelous cards she's created with this release! Get ready to swoon just a bit. {wink}  Below is a little bit more about her and a little Q&A session about her stamping style.

Hello! I’m Laura Jane; Wife to my best friend and the ONE God made for me. SAHomeschoolingMamma to 6 Blessings. (2 have graduated, and flown to new adventures of their own, YEAH!) We live in Illinois close to St Louis. Card making has been my passion of learning since 2013. I LOVE playing with stamps, mostly floral images :) and trying out all the artsy techniques that others share in blogland! My blog is After-Hours Ink and Flowers, as I can often be found at home in the school/craft room when everything else is done…or not :)

1. How/when did you get hooked on stamping?  Been crafting and scrap booking all my life, then found the stamping/card making community in 2013.  Started blogging my cards created with stamps in 2014.

2. How often do you stamp? DAILY!

3. What style(s) are you most drawn to creating? Anything with flowers on it!  I like layers, collage stamping, and a little hint of vintage.

4. What do you love most about paper crafting? The ability to make a little piece of art that you can easily send in the mail.

5. What technique or product is currently making your paper crafting heart go pitter patter? Ziggy watercolor real brush markers!!!!!  MISTI, and Builder floral stamps!!!

Want to win some shiny new Verve? We'll be picking a random comment on one of the hop spots below to win today's featured products! So be sure to leave a little comment on all the blogs linked below to increase your chances!

First up in the spotlight today is a brand new set called Beautiful Things. Last fall, Lori Craig sent me a suggestion for a you make beautiful things sentiment. Around the same time Laurie Schmidlin sent me a suggestion with the phrase you were made for amazing things.  They seemed to pair well together and were my jumping off point for designing today's set.

Beautiful Things is a set of 13 clear photo polymer stamps that will retail for $18. It includes beautiful flower imagery, as well as a variety of beautifully scripted sentiments around the theme of beauty.  Perfect for encouragement, birthday, friendship and even sympathy, this is a truly versatile set.

Beautiful Flowers Die Set is the coordinating die set for Beautiful Things. Along with dies to coordinate with the two flowers in Beautiful Things, this die set also has a die of the word beautiful and two leafy images perfect for filling in behind your flowers. This set of 5 steel dies will retail for $19.

Also in the spotlight today is the Stitched Pennants Die Set. This set of two pennant dies features a faux stitching accent along the border of each die cut and are perfectly sized for many of Verve's sentiments.  This die set will retail for $9.

Okay, if you're still with me, the hop starts over on my blog, Poetic Artistry! Come say hello.. here's a sneaky peek of what I'm sharing!
