I've been trying to find a bit more simplicity in life and crafting lately, and I think I'm starting to enjoy the process a bit more without all the frills. Now don't get me wrong, I'll always love a really decked out card, but there's something so sweet about a single phrase with a bunch of white space around it.

For this card, I stamped the jingle all the way sentiment from Jolly Jingles in ranger black ink on a 2.5" x 3.5" panel of white, then colored the bells with Copic markers.  I matted this with basic gray cardstock, then tied a bow around it with white taffeta and added a couple of jingle bells and some silver cord with a hot glue gun.  This piece is layered onto a 4" x 5.25" piece of designer paper, also matted with basic gray.  I finished off with a corner of the same designer paper and a few sparkly little circle embellishments.

Okay, now for the hop list... everything kicks off on my blog, Poetic Artistry, with a card that's anything but simple.  {grin}  See ya there!

Comment deadline for prize drawing is Tuesday, October 25.

Lesley is hosting our second October Viva la Verve sketch this morning, and I thought the sketch would be perfect for these pretty flowers from Autumn Blessings

I started by stamping the flowers tone on tone in soft sky, then cutting with the coordinating Autumn Thanks Die Set.  I dressed the center flower up with a button and twine for accent.

I found a scrap of paper that I had cut down for a project last year and didn't use and it went perfectly with the soft sky flowers, so rounded the corners and tucked it in as my vertical piece. I went for some wide striped ribbon for the horizontal piece and couldn't resist adding a bow up top because I simply love this ribbon.

Okay, now for the hop list... everything kicks off on my blog, Poetic Artistry.  See ya there!

And if you're just hearing about us, here's a little bit more about our latest release...

One of my first crafter experiences was a tole painting workshop with my sister at a local craft store. We made some adorable little primitive style magnets of baby Jesus in a manger. Although the imagery was so simple, I loved the way they conveyed the true meaning of Christmas. So when I set out to design a set for this release, I knew I wanted baby Jesus to be front and center.

The Weary World set was inspired by O Holy Night, one of my favorite Christmas hymns. This year, the lyrics, "a thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices" really struck a chord in my heart. By December, I think the world is a little weary (I know with 2.5 year old twins, I sure am), and I get a little chill just thinking about that thrill of hope that makes the weary world rejoice. My Christmas prayer is for everyone to know the thrill of hope and rejoicing that the Savior of the world has come to save us all.

The coordinating Starry Stable Die Set is the perfect accompaniment to this set.

Pinecone Christmas is a timeless Christmas set illustrated by Chaitali Narla. Bring the scent of pinecones and the feel of winter to your craft room with this beautiful set of poinsettias and pinecones. Multi-step stamping for the pine branch and poinsettia images makes coloring a breeze, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of the season.

Images include a pine branch, pinecones a beautiful poinsettia and a Christmas candle. Fun and unique chalkboard style sentiments round out the set. For die cutting fun, pair this set with the Poinsettia Pinecones Die Set. The dies in this set coordinate with the poinsettia and pinecone images in Pinecone Christmas.

Chaitali designed the Light My World set to capture the beautiful way light is used in faith celebrations around the world. The versatile sentiments and beautiful light inspired imagery will help you make cards for many occasions and for all your international friends and family. Included imagery are Christmas candles, a diya, a lantern and a menorah.

This Psalm 119:105 scripture popped into my head the first time I saw Chaitali's candle and light imagery for this release. It seemed the perfect fit, and a well-loved verse to add to our plain jane collection. In the sample above, I've paired it with the candle image from Pinecone Christmas. It also looks fabulous paired with the decorated cross from Weary World

And if you're just hearing about us, here's a little bit more about our new releases...
Chaitali illustrated the Pink Power set in honor of her mother who was recently diagnosed with and is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. With beautiful imagery and thoughtful sentiments, this set is perfect for spreading awareness and encouraging those battling breast cancer. Images in the set include a beautiful butterfly with a ribbon body, a bald is beautiful silhouette, a solid and outline awareness ribbon, footprints and a host of encouraging sentiments. The Ribbon Die is the perfect accompaniment to this set.
When I saw Chaitali's Pink Power set concept, I knew I wanted to create an encouraging set to release with it that could work for those difficult sympathy and illness types of cards we all unfortunately need to make from time to time.  I've always loved our Wishing You set, so decided to include a mini version of that in the new Inspire Hope set with words that could work for a variety of situations. With an elegant frame that fits two different flower images as well as several encouraging sayings and builder sentiments, this set is sure to beecome a staple on your stamp desk.
Inspired by Chaitali's favorite aspect of Halloween... dressing up, Masquerade is an elegant set of costume elements. Images include builder accessories for Venetian styled masks, a beautiful ball gown and sentiments to match. This unique and elegant set will have you all dressed up, whether for Halloween, a masquerade ball or an evening at the opera. And combined with the Mask Die Set and Gown Die, the layering possiblities are endless.
Our October Release dies are a little different than our dies of the past. For this release, I opted to design dies that were the exact shape of the stamps, rather than have a slight border around the image. This way the dies can be used on their own, OR in combination with the stamps. These dies do not have alignment holes, but since the stamps are clear and slightly larger than the die cut, it's easy to line up and stamp, completely covering the die cut. The Ribbon Die works with the ribbon in the Pink Power set and the Mask Die Set and Gown Die work with the images in Masquerade.
Have to have it all? Our October Release Collection is avialable at a 20% discount through November 4, while supplies last. Each set is packaged individually, but they are available bundled at a discounted price for a limited time.

I'm the first stop on the hop over on my blog, Poetic Artistry, but first I wanted to share this {sort of CAS} card I made with the Peaceful Medallions set and the large flower from Happy Place.  I started by stamping medallions on a piece of white cardstock in perfect plum and wisteria wonder.  Next I stamped the big medallion on another piece of white, cut with a circle die and matted with a scallop circle die cut in perfect plum.  Next I flipped the flower stamp from Happy Place over so I was stamping on the solid side and stamped it pale plum.  I then stamped over that with the right side of the stamp in Wisteria Wonder and hand cut to pop up over my medallion piece.  I stamped two of the smaller medallions in pale plum, then cut with a 1" circle punch and popped up on my card.  I finished with a sentiment from Be Blessed and then added some liquid pearls and amethyst rhinestone accents.  Simple, yet elegant.
