December Diva Dare - Day 4

Favorite Things - December Diva Dare

Welcome to November's Diva Dare!  This month's dare is entitled Favorite Things.  With the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season upon us and the New Year quickly approaching, it's nice to take a breather and look back at what we've accomplished.

So this month, we are daring you to share your favorite Verve creation(s) for this year OR create a new one with one of your favorite Verve products.

When I scrolled through my blog at my Verve creations this past year, I was overcome with joy and gratitude to be able to design for this amazing company with a true message of faith and love all.

After adding several cards to share on this post (yes, really!), this one stuck out as my absolute favorite of the year.  I think it stood out to me because of the sentiment...all about LOVE!  Isn't that really what life is about?!  Besides Verve being one of my very favorite things, I adore layers of patterned and glittery paper, heat embossing, ribbon & twine bows, stitching and scattered sequins, too!

Two ways to win prizes for double the fun!

Win a $40 gift voucher to Verve! Take our Favorite Things dare and link your card up to be eligible to win.  Entries must include your favorite Verve creation(s) of 2014 (maximum of 3 entries) OR be an entry using your favorite stamp set, be posted 12/8 or later, include at least one Verve product and be linked up to the linky widget by 8pm Mountain on 12/21/14.  One participant will be randomly selected to win the gift voucher.  You can enter as many times as you like for a new creation (each card needs to be a separate post), and a maximum of 3 times for previously created cards.

Win a Verve set of your choice! For another chance to win some new Verve, leave a little comment love on our design team's Favorite Things Diva Dare posts!  One lucky commenter will win a Verve stamp set of his or her choice, so be sure to tune in each day!  Comment deadline to be entered in our prize drawing is December 21, 2014.

Thanks for stopping by the Verve Stamps Blog!

Winners will be announced on December 22, 2014.

  10. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! I really love the silver embossing on the vellum. How do you keep the vellum from warping? I always have trouble with that.

    1. Hi Heather! Not sure what Stacey used here, but it looks like it might be a thicker cardstock weight vellum. Heating the powder on the lowest setting from the back side of the vellum also tames the warping.

    2. Thanks so much, Heather! Julee is correct...I used a card stock weight vellum from Stampin' Up! on the Verve tag. PTI also has a nice vellum that I also use. I agree with Julee that over heating the vellum will cause it to curl, so it could be a combination of lightweight vellum and the heat level when you're embossing. Let us know if you have better results when heat embossing your vellum. Verve HUGS to you!
