Sneak Preview: Forever in Our Hearts

Welcome to Day 3 of our Sneak Previews! Today we're featuring cards made with Forever in Our Hearts. This set will be available immediately following our Release Party TONIGHT. Be sure to read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can have a chance at winning this beautiful set!

From the desk of Guest Diva Christina Fischer:

Hi, everyone! I'm thrilled and honored to be posting a sneak preview as a Guest Diva this month! When I saw the set Forever in Our Hearts, I knew I wanted to work with it right away! Sympathy cards are often difficult to make, but the beautiful sentiments and images in this set make it much easier. One of my best friends recently recognized the first anniversary of his father's death, and I wish I had this set then!

On my card, I used Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper, organdy ribbon, and some Prima Caboodles flowers. I embossed the background paper with a Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots folder, then I stamped the leaf images over it to create an interesting texture. I stamped the leaves again on the patterned panel to create a continuous image, then I centered the flowers over them. I finished the inside of the card with the small leaf image and another of the beautiful sentiments from this set.

From the desk of Diva Jackie Pedro:

When Julee showed us the new sets for this release I was blown away (so what's new) and when I saw one of the sets was a sympathy set I KNEW if it was coming from Verve that it would be BEAUTIFUL. Forever in Our Hearts is one of the most beautiful sympathy sets I've seen, so serene and peaceful, and fills an empty space in my stamp collection. There are so many comforting sentiments in this set and the images are perfect. I don't know anybody who wants to make a sympathy card, but this is THE set to have on hand when the need arises.

From the desk of Diva Charmaine Ikach:

Here's a simple card using the new Forever in Our Hearts set from Verve. I just LOVE the silhouette images in this set. I would usually stamp them in black or the same color as the cardstock they're stamped on, but I decided to use my Versamark pad and pastels for this card for a softer, more delicate look.
I also thought the Bird Call Cuttebug folder went well with this particular image. In the stamped image, the bird is in flight while in the Cuttlebug embossed image, the bird has landed and is still. I think you'll find that the sentiments in this set are PERFECT for making cards for those going through difficult times.

From the desk of Diva Amy Sheffer:

I wish I could tell you you'll never need Forever in Our Hearts, but the truth is, this is a must-have set more than most others. Why? Because when bad things happen and we find ourselves at a loss for words, a good sympathy set is truly invaluable. The imagery in Forever in Our Hearts is peaceful and the sentiments heartfelt, making those difficult sympathy cards at least a little bit easier.
For my card, I've chosen a soothing blue-green-brown color scheme and kept the overall design clean and simple. The tree is stamped in brown pigment ink and clear embossed. I added just a few extras to enhance the overall design: some scoring, pleated satin ribbon, pearls, and some pretty scallops on the sentiment and along the bottom border.

From the desk of Diva Shannan Teubner:

One of my favorite things about Verve Stamps is their versatility, and Forever in Our Hearts is no exception. Personally, I have always struggled with finding just the "right thing" to say, and I love how this set has a huge variety of traditional and so very thoughtful sentiments, as well as some gorgeous images.
I wanted to try a different approach to this image, so I misted my watercolor paper with water first, then colored my image with Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, and Real Red markers and stamped it on the wet paper. Once the image dried, I colored the image again and re-stamped a clearer image over the top of the softened one. This technique is an old favorite, and it worked perfectly for the look I was going for. I finished the card off with the large branch image and a sentiment from this set. I think this would be a great encouragement card in addition to a sympathy card...the beauty of Julee's wonderfully thoughtful stamps.

Well, are you totally blown away by the Divas so far? I know I am!

We have one more little surprise up our sleeve for you today! Just leave a comment with your answer to the following question before 5PM Eastern on Friday, June 26 (that's TODAY!) and you'll be put in a drawing to win Forever in Our Hearts! Winners will be announced during our release party.

Question: Do you have an image that you'd love to see Verve-Style? What is it?

  1. Okay. THIS is my favorite top of the list set. My sweet MIL is a widow and so is her mother. They both still like to acknowledge their anniversaries even if no one sends them cards anymore. So I HAVE to at least get this stamp set (I don't know if I can keep it a secret from her until her anniversary. LOL).

This is the cream of the crop Julee. Awesome, wonderful sneak peeks from the Divas.

  7. As always very beautiful images by Julee and amazing creations by the design team!

What about a car or vehicle of some sort Verve-style. I would be interested to see what Julee could come up with in that arena!

  8. Swans would be good - I love the way 2 swans facing gives a heart shape. Verve could do that! All the teams' posts are great.

  9. A wheelbarrow with flowers or garden.. tools, with some cute Verve-alicious phrases to go with.
Some thing you can add to with another set in the Fall... like pumpkins, gourds, acorns, scarecrows.... Then onto winter with snowmen/women/babies pushing each other in the wheelbarrow.. ahahaha...Is that crazy? Like a set that builds with each season.. flags, and fireworks could play in somehow..(although it may be to late for this year.. but there is always next year..)....

  10. I love these sentiments! They are so meaningful.

I would love to see reindeer and a sleigh for Christmas. And a set with a manger and Mary and Joseph or something like that would be amazing!

  12. ANOTHER great set, such beautiful samples!

Hmmm... another image I'd like to see Verve-style? How about a sweet little lamb? I'm thinking something slightly cutesy, and perhaps some other baby-themed images (to coordinate with Practically Perfect sentiments and etc.?)...

  13. I really like this set and it has so many applications. Great words! Must admit I would like to see either an Eiffel Tower or a chandelier, perhaps a cute poodle too.

  14. These sentiments are PRICELESS! The Divas' artwork ROCKS! I would like to see sentiments for inside of a birthday card. You always have HB on the outside but need something fun for the inside.

  15. I can tell that this is a must have set! I am the provider of cards when we have a death in our school family, and this set will make it much easier to come up with thoughtful cards. As for images I'd like to see, everything you have done is so fabulous, I can't think of anything now that I need. However, I'm sure that the next set you come out with will be the one I "need" -- lol!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would love to see something done for children 'verve style'. Whether it's a birthday theme or just quotes or images relating to children!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It is hard to find graduation sayings that aren't sappy. I would like to see some more graduation sets.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh my, these are absolutely gorgeous! What perfect sentiments.

A Verve image I wish for? Hmm, I think some baby images, that would go with Practically Perfect. Maybe a little chick or teddy bear?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Love the samples! They are fabulous!

I love flowers, maybe some tulips or lilies, something that would coordinate with Easter/spring things.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  25. What a great set ~ and beautiful cards. I've been looking for the perfect sympathy set to add to my collection and it looks like Forever in Our Hearts will be the one. You do such amazing work with florals, I would love to see a Bird of Paradise stamp, as it's my favourite flower.

    ReplyDelete
  26. By far, this is my favorite of the sneak peeks! Just gorgeous!

What would I want to see Verve-styled? How about an Oriental image...like the Cherry Blossom, Geisha, Lantern, or Crane.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You gals just blow me away! EVERY TIME I look at the cards you make, I feel so inadequate. You all do such a wonderful job. AND I know it isn't a job because the "LOVE" just oozes out of each creation. May I someday gain the knowledge and ability to create on such a level! I would love to see a set with seasonal bouquets (spring-tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, etc; summer-petunias, cosmos, daisies, roses, peonies, zinnias, etc; fall-chrysanthemums, sunflowers, salvia, black eyed susans, cone flowers, etc; winter-poinsettias, and any that can be forced or are grown elsewhere in tropical climates. A special saying for each season to go along with the flowers would be nice to include. I don't want much...do I? Martha

    ReplyDelete
  28. Beautiful release!!!!

I would like to see more simple silhouettes that can be used with sentiments. Like silhouettes of flowers, grass, etc. that can be used in the backgrounds of a sentiment. Those are timeless and so pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I would love to see more "men" items - sports related, or outdoors, or vehicles, etc. How about ATVs, jeeps, vehicles like that? Would LOVE to win this set - it is must have for me!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Motorcycles are always at the top of my wishlist - they are so hard to find!

    ReplyDelete
  35. OH wow! If there's something that would be difficult to do would be a sympathy set and Julee you've done it once again. In a beautiful way where I find it feels awkward to make a sympathy card with the current tools I have. Not anymore.

I would love to see cats. And a calico one would just sooo rock! I've seen cartoonie ones but there hasn't been one that I've liked.

Thanks so much ladies for sharing your work!

An image I would like to see is probably a mouse.
