Project Parade Day Three ~ Spring Card Set

Hi everyone! It's Jackie here and it's my turn to take a walk down the project parade!! Every Spring I make one or two sets of cards that I donate to the silent auction fundraiser that is put on by my girls' elementary school. The project parade came at the perfect time for me to make a set!

I am always on the lookout for packaging for my sets and while blurfing last week, I came across this tutorial by Lauren Meader. What I loved about the set of cards she created was that they were not the normal A2 sized cards. These cards are 2 3/4" x 4". I even made the envelopes!! The packaging was made using Lauren Meader's Captured Card Case Timeless Template, and holds eight of these cards with the eight matching envelopes.

The picture on the left is a close up of the box itself. The picture on the right is of the entire set of cards. I used the retired Haiku Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! It just screams spring to me! The flower is from Verve's new beautiful set called Miracles Blossom and the sentiment is from another new Verve set called Circular Sayings. The ovals were cut with the Oval Nestaiblities and the scalloped border was done with the Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge Punch. I added some Star Dust Stickles to the outside edge of the tulip for some sparkle. I used Taylor Van Bruggen's Cupcake Sketch #60 for the cards and the box.

So do you want some new Verve??? Play along with us during our Project Parade for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Verve Stamps store. All you have to do is create an egg-stra special spring project and link it up with the Mr. Linky form HERE. Entries will close at 8PM Mountain on Saturday, April 4! Verve Stamps are not required, but we do LOVE to see 'em if you got 'em!

And to put a little spring in your step, we'll be picking five random commenters over the course of the parade who will win their choice of any Verve Stamps set. You never know which Diva will be drawing, so if you see a project you like, be sure to leave the girls some love! :) Good luck and thanks for visiting!

  15. Your card set is adorable! I should make a card set for the silent auction that happens at the school I work at as the proceeds go to support children who don't have necessary school supplies. Often times, I end up getting those supplies for them out of the supply room! Love those colors that you used, very spring. I am super excited for this evening. I have a night to myself and will pull out my new Verve and ink it up!

  25. What a beautiful set of cards. I also had an auction at my son's school a couple of weeks ago. I went a different way and did a whole basket of stuff with a coffee theme. It came out cute but I thought next year I would scale it down and maybe do a set of all purpose cards. Now that I've seen your set of cards, I may have to do a couple different things.
