Welcome to Verve's October 2015 Spotlight Hops! After another long hiatus (keeping up with 3 year olds and running a business is much harder than it seems), I'm back with a couple new sets that I'm so excited to share with you! I spent quite a bit of time the past few months thinking about what I really wanted Verve's focus to be and kept coming back to meaningful and uplifting sentiments. So in keeping with that, this release is themed around encouragement, with an awareness set centered on keeping up the fight and a super uplifting floral/scripture set.
We've got a fun week planned for you! Today and tomorrow, the Divas will be spotlighting the two sets and coordinating products in this release. The sets will open for pre-order tomorrow (a few might make it here in time, but most should be here in the next week or so). Next Monday through Thursday, four spectacular Guest Divas will be spotlighting the sets and then on Friday, 10/30 we'll all come together for one last hop with both the Divas and Guest Divas! Sound fun? Well, let's get started!
In addition to some spectacular peeks at the new stamps, there's a chance to win new products each day, so be sure to hop around and leave a little love for the oh-so-talented Divas! Everything we preview this week will be orderable in the Verve online store on Friday, 10/23. So come hop along with us and see what's new at Verve!
Today's spotlight is shining on the Just Breathe set. With strong and meaningful sentiments focused on encouragement and keeping up the fight, this breast cancer awareness set is sure to inspire. Boxing gloves, a polka dot heart, photo corners and an awareness ribbon round out the images in this set. For die cutting fun, pair the awareness ribbon image in this set with our Ribbon Die.
For my project I have a fun little bookmark I made with the Just Breathe set. The topper of the bookmark uses a die included in a die set we'll spotlight tomorrow. I used clean color real brush markers and a bit of pool party ink to make the watercolor background, embossed the sentiment, then added the polka dot hearts. A bit of glossy glaze and glitter accent the hearts, and I finished off with a bit of seam binding ribbon and linen thread for the tassel.
The hop starts over on my blog, Poetic Artistry.
Here's the full hop list:
That's all for today! We'll see you back here tomorrow for another day of hopping!
