Verve's prize for this hop is something hot off the presses. So new it's not even in the store yet! I'd hoped to have it here before Valentine's Day but our order got unexpectedly delayed by the manufacturer and is set to arrive next week.
Chaitali has designed another fun set in her one word series (others in the series include the Coffee and Cupcakes sets) and this one is themed around chocolate, complete with a stamp or two for you hot chocolate lovers, but also many sentiments that will pair perfectly with the new coordinating Chocolate Word Die or our Coffee Word Die! The Chocolate set and coordinating word die will release next Friday, March 6. But we're giving away the soon to be released Chocolate stamp set and Chocolate Word Die as our sponsored prize for the hop! So go ahead and make a card or two to link up over on the hop linky!
And since I couldn't wait to ink up my sample set, I have a little hot chocolate-y sneak peek using this set and die for you today...
I started by stamping the sweet little cocoa mug in brown sugar ink and then coloring with Copics. I stamped the melted chocolate border in brown sugar and then embossed the HOT sentiment in white, then hand trimmed a portion to add as a border. Next I stamped the 'You had me at' sentiment on designer paper and layered my pieces together. I used the Chocolate Word Die to cut the chocolate word in pool party and brown sugar cardstock, then I offset them for a bit of shadowing and glued the piece down the side of my panel. The background is embossed with an embossing folder and then sponged with scattered straw and tumbled glass distress inks. I used the same colors on the wood veneer butterfly and then coated with a healthy dose of glossy glaze and glitter.
Alrighty, the Divas will have more inspiration using this new set for you on March 6! Our next re-stocking shipment is expected tomorrow and all of our stamps are currently 20% off!
