Two Set Previews and a Chance to Win!

It's Day 2 of our peeks at the new Verve sets (coming June 25), and today we are featuring two fabulous sentiment sets: Here for You and All About You.

From Jackie Pedro:

After seeing Jackie's projects for a few Verve contests, we had to ask her to be our guest this month! Her clean, simple style and attention to detail makes us say WOW every time. Jackie has used one of the six sentiments from Here for You. Thanks for joining us this month, Jackie! (Tune in tomorrow for a preview from the winner of last month's Sketch Challenge, Cyndi Bundy!)

From Laura Fredrickson:

I believe that the right words at the right time can really make a difference in someone's life, so when I saw the set Here for You, I decided to make an uplifting card that would brighten the day of the recipient. I used Julee's Mojo Madness #42 sketch since it was perfect for keeping the focus on the words and chose some designer paper from MAMBI that worked well with the sketch. I added a layered flower from Fancy Florals and a few gems to finish it off. "All things are Possible" is the perfect sentiment for someone in need of a little encouragement to move forward with their life.

From Amy Westerman:

Verve has the best sentiment stamps in town and the new All About You set is no exception. Letting that special someone in your life know how special they are to you is easy with this fabulous set of 5 amazing sentiments. Each one is more inspiring than the next! I wanted to create a romantic card to let my hubby know just how important he is to me, so I combined one of the sentiments from All About You with an ornate heart stamp that I embossed with silver embossing powder. The designer paper from SEI pretty much stands on it own because it’s so bold, so adding a simple, heart-touching Verve sentiment was all this card needed to be complete.

From Amy Sheffer:

When I saw the sentiments in the new All About You set, I kept thinking how perfect they all are for little notes of appreciation you might tuck into a spouse's packed lunch, or slip into the suitcase of a loved one who's traveling, or even leave behind on a pillow if you're the one traveling. I created this mini lunch box tin and card ensemble with my sweet mom in mind, who, if you can believe, has been packing my dad's lunch almost every workday for 45 years now!! The five notes are slightly larger than ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), and, like ATCs, they are card fronts only. That leaves plenty of room in the tin for a half-dozen or so additional "lunch notes." And just wait until you see how well tomorrow's set works with this same theme - you'll see right away why I saved room for lots more cards!

How would you like to win this pair of awesome stamp sets? Here's your chance! Leave a comment on this post by 10 pm MT (midnight ET) on June 24 with your answer to this question:

Are you a morning bird or a night owl?

Check back on Wednesday, June 25, when we'll announce the lucky winner and reveal all the new sets in full!

  4. Oh dear, I am a morning bird AND a night owl! I love getting up early in the morning to walk, read my Bible, drink my coffee & sit on my porch. But I also like to stay up late, surf my blogs & stamp. Unfortunately, sooner or later, it catches up with me *yawn*

  11. Morning bird or night owl? Actually, I can be both depending on what's going on in my life, my mood, etc. Sometimes I get my best work done in the morning before I leave for work. Other times I am up until 2:00 a.m. because I just don't want to stop what I'm doing!

Can't wait to see all the new stamps!

  42. I am a total night owl! I have a very active three year old daughter and work full time. When we get home from our busy days, we eat dinner, play for a while, read books etc. When my little girl goes to bed, I go downstairs to stamp. I find myself stamping way past midnight most nights. My husband always says, "see you in the morning," becuase he doesn't know when I'll come to bed!

  47. I have a dilema, I'm not sure I am either! If I have my choice, I don't like to rise too early in the morning -- love summer as I can usually sleep till about 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. versus 6:30 on school days. However, I also don't stay up too late or I pay for it dearly the next day. So, if I had to choose, I probably lean more towards the morning hours. Thanks for the chance to win. Can't wait to see all the new goods :)

This looks like a great set to have. I thin it would get a lot of use from anyone who has it. I just love Amy's idea of the lunchbox sentiments, like her I do not make a lunch for my husband since he is able to come home for lunch but my mom makes my dads lunch and also I can think of a lot of occassions you would use these for cards or even sweet scrapbooks.

    ReplyDelete

  132. Night owl ... but I have two little girls that are morning birdies ... oh dear. But when a son brings me a cup of my favorite coffee in the morning ... I appreciate the early morning sun even more. And yes ... he knows the perfect amount of creamer I like. I truly am blessed. :)

  133. I am required to be both - kids are morning birds so I have to get up with them, but the only time I can get anything I want to do done (ie STAMPING!) is after they go to sleep, and so I'm a night owl. Yawn.

  134. I'm a morning bird! Love to get the chores done and have the rest of the day to stamp! Then, when school starts back up, I'm there early to get ready for my students! Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  135. When it comes to stamping I am both. If I am working on a project that I am excited about I will get up early or stay up late to finish it.

  139. I would say I can be either. Depends on the day and my mood :P Sometimes I'm up early and full of energy and other times, I can stay up way late into the night :P

  156. Love the sentiments ~ I can think of so many occasions on which they'd be perfect! I'm a morning bird....when my 4yo goes to bed at 9 pm, I'm right there with him...but I'm usually up before he is, and that's when I get my "me" time:)

    ReplyDelete
  157. That's a difficult question for me. I am not getting any sleep lately so you would think I would be a night owl, but that's not the case. Certainly not a morning bird since I am so exhausted by the time the a.m. comes. I need help!!! It would be nice to be able give an answer!!!

  165. I find time -- from both ends of the day, but have to keep the middle productive! I'm scoping out sentiments. Verve's line is new to me and I'm looking forward to trying these clear stamps. I tried some from a local store, but they didn't hold the ink for a sharp transfer. Beautiful cards on this site -- I'll be coming back as a regular!

    ReplyDelete
  166. I am both a morning bird and a night owl! There just aren't enough hours in a day during the summer months to get the yard work done and find time for stamping so I am up early and go to bed late! Love the sentiments - they are meaningful without being too mushy!

    ReplyDelete

I have to say I'm pretty new to stamping so when everyone was commenting on how great your sentiments were I figured I had to check it out for myself. ... and it's true!

  186. I would choose to be a morning bird. But in fact, I am a night owl because it is the only time that it is quiet in the house and I loooove the quiet time to think and listen to soft music and stamp or knit.
