After narrowing it down to those six, I spent hours deliberating on the final choice.  Each creation had a slightly different spin on the inspiration and they're all absolutely beautiful! But after closely staring at them all for so long, I kept coming back to one entry that had so much detail and style.

So the Guest Diva tiara goes to....

I loved the way Janelle brought in both the soft aspects of the inspiration photo along with the shiny and smooth parts.  And that handmade crepe flower?  Seriously gorgeous!  And talk about details... the cream mat is scored, folded over, mitre cornered and stitched!  The silver accents on her buttons and the stitched zigzag border set everything off beautifully and that halftone dotted background deserves a closer look (and she just happened to have one on her blog)!  A gorgeous creation from start to finish.

Happy Friday, Verve fans!  How has 2011 been treating you?  I've had some real life happenings that have been cutting into my design time, so we're not having a February release.  But don't worry... March will definitely bring some new Verve your way!  And there are a couple challenges going on right now where you can win our ENTIRE next release... stamps, dies and all!

First up is the Get Your Diva On challenge in our SCS forum.  The winner of this challenge, not only wins the next release, but gets to participate in all our release week activities as a Guest Diva!  And all you have to do to be eligible is make a creation strutting your stuff, inspired by the inspiration photo that this month's hostess, Charmaine, picked out.

I know when I first started doing challenges, inspiration challenges left me a little weak in the knees.  I felt confined by what I saw, but I've found that there's really no wrong way to do an inspiration challenge!  Just pick one thing or a group of things that the photo makes you think of and start stamping!  What inspires you when you look at this photo?  I see options galore, and not just Valentine's day.

• monochromatic color scheme
• beads and baubles
• circles galore
• candles
• pink, grey and white color combo
