CLEARLY inspired!

Are ya'll inspired by the Diva's yet? I know I am! And the inspiration piece we have to work with this week is PHENOM! As soon as I saw the picture, I wanted to use Red, White, and Black! A very classy color combo (I think!) and then decided I wanted to do an actetate card!

I just used some regular printer transparency's I found at wal-mart ages ago. The red dp is a SU! Level One Hostess award. I stamped the flowers from Petals and Stems in Real Red and then cut them out and mounted them on dimensionals on top of the stems. The sentiment is from Thankful Blossoms. I LOVE the sentiments in that set! Pretty simple card but I think the acetate makes it pop a little extra:)

We were challenged by team mate Carol Burrage to answer the questions given to the guest designers! So here are my answers!

1. When/how did you get hooked on stamping? In 2005 I was looking through an Avon catelog and found a scrapbook kit (you know the ones with the really cheesy diecuts and tye-dyed dp, lol!) that I LOVED. So I ordered it and then when I started using it was like "Well dang, I need some more paper!" Well, you know the rest of the story, lol! It just quickly snow-balled into a full out obsession!

2. How often do you stamp? EVERY DAY. Truly, I try to make time to do the things I love! I at least stamp something, maybe not finish a project but I do get in the stampin room at least once a day;)

3. Tell me about your funniest or most embarrassing stamping related injury. Wow, I feel lame cause I don't think I've been injured yet! I've poked myself with my piercer, but who hasn't done that, lol! I'll work harder on this one so I have a fun story to tell in the future:)

4. How long does it take you to create a project that you're happy with? An hour at the most! If it's much longer than that I get bored and move on, lol! But really, I move pretty quick so it doesn't take me long:)

5. I am usually a little messy in my creating. Tell me about your creative space. I am blessed to have my own room! Now, it's no "Studio" but it's all mine! It's more functional than pretty, but I love it. I'm pretty messy when I'm crafting but I make a point to clean up after each project, even if I'm just about to pull it all back out again! I can't think with clutter surrounding me, lol!

6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, which craft tool could you not live without? Why? OMG I couldn't live w/out any of it! You MUST be kidding. If I'm stranded on a desert island, do I have the rest of my crafting supplies or is there really only one crafty thing I can have? What's the point of having one thing if I can't have the rest? Am I looking to deep into this question?:)

7. What is your biggest source of inspiration? I have to second Laura's answer! BLOGS! It seems like every blog I look at has at least SOMETHING I'm inspired by. I really enjoy blurfing (sometimes too much, then I run out of time to stamp!)

8. Who in the stamping world do you want to be when you grow up and why? Beate has always been my stamping hero-ess! I just adore the way she puts her cards together, so clean and perfect! Also, Lauren Meader WOW's me EVERYTIME I visit her blog! I also wouldn't mind being in Nichole Heady's shoes for a day. I just adore her style!

9. What is your favorite part of the creative process? You know what? I love it when I'm making a card and it takes an unexpected turn and the way it turns out is so much better than what I had envisioned! I guess I enjoy the spontaneity of each card, I just love the whole process:)

Well, there you have it, a lot about a little, lol! I bet you'd rather win $15 Verve Bucks than read another question about me, huh? Well, here's your chance! All you have to do is join us in this challenge! Leave a comment with a link to your project on this post by 12:00 pm (noon) Eastern Time on June 21st, and you will be entered for a chance to win! Using Verve stamps is not a requirement, although it doubles your chance of winning.
We will have two winners, one randomly drawn from a pool of all entries, the other will be selected as our favorite from all the projects using Verve stamps. Both winners will receive $15 in Verve Bucks. We will announce the winners later that day. There are no rules for this challenge, be inspired by the photo in any way (colors, patterns, layout, etc...). If you upload to SCS use the keywords VVPP03 for all the stamping world to see!
