Beaded Monochromatic Blossoms...

Inspiration challenges are quickly becoming my favorite! I find there is more creative freedom with an inspiration piece...as the only rule is to be inspired! :-) The elements that really caught my attention (besides the fact that all four pillows are drop dead gorgeous!!!) were: the beading, the trims, the beautiful stem/leaf swirls, & of course the wonderful flowers! Normally, I gain inspiration from color...but in this case it was the patterns and textures that sparked my creativity!

I started with a square piece of Pearlized White cardstock and hand drew a swirly pattern (very lightly) all over using a pencil. I then pierced along the markings I made. Once I was satisfied with the pattern I created, I erased all of my pencil markings.
After stamping the flowers (from the Thankful Blossoms set) in Sahara Sand (onto Pearlized White c.s.), I cut them out and added some clear Microbeads to the centers.
I love monochromatic cards...but I wanted a pop of color, so I added this red jewel embellishment to the center of the large flower.
To create the swirl "trim", I used the swirl from the Easter Elegance set and stamped it all around the edges.
I hope you are inspired to not only notice colors and shapes in the things around you...but also the unique patterns and textures! Make sure you stop back by tomorrow, Charmaine will share her take on the Inspiration Challenge! ~Laurie
