Simple & Bright

Using bright colors on your card is one way to give it some "wow" without going overboard on the layers and embellishments. Those things are really fun to use, but sometimes, you just need to whip out a card that you don't have a lot of time to sit and putz with.

Designer paper is another way you can add some pizazz to an otherwise simple card. This bright polka dot star paper (American Craft) just scream FUN! Who wouldn't love getting this card in the mail? I combined the paper with the perfect stamp set, Polka Stars. I stamped two different sized stars on cardstock (Real Red and Cool Caribbean) with Whisper White ink. I used my new SU star punch to punch out the large star and I cut the little star out by hand.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx ink, and was punched out with the word window SU punch.

The yellow paper was simply the backside of the star paper! I used my paper piercer to pierce holes along the edges of the strip.

This card came together in literally 10 minutes--you have to love simplicity like that. Anyone can make a card like this one and feel like a winner, even though it didn't take you all afternoon to make it. But no one has to know, do they? It will be our little secret!
