Hey, Sunshine!

So, do you have your Verve stamps yet? What's your favorite? I think mine is Fancy Florals Remixed...it's so easy to layer now that they're clear. I can't seem to put it down!

Today is my turn to show you what "Back to Basics" means to me. When I first started stamping, I loved the Two-Step stamps. I didn't have to color, I didn't have to use markers to ink up the stamps, no fancy schmancy techniques, just my stamps, paper and ink!

So I incorporated that into my card today, which was inspired by some paper I saw yesterday while shopping. It was Kraft paper with Green leaves on it, and those leaves just popped right off the paper! My version uses Mango Madness Versamagic Chalk ink, and Versafine Onyx Black, cause I was needing a little sunshine today. How about you?

Very simple and easy, this card took me about 10 minutes, start to finish. I stamped the flower outline in Black randomly across the Kraft card base, then stamped the solid flower in Mango on top of the outlines. Then came the centers in black again. I think I probably should have used Stazon, because the Versafine over the chalk ink had a really tough time drying, so CASE away, but use Stazon! *grin* The sentiment was the main focus, so I stamped it in black on White cardstock, then layered it with a tiny hint of black, then added a ribbon, cause I can't make a card without it!

Hopefully we have inspired you to do some stamping this weekend, so please don't forget to show us what you create! Have a great day!
