Sneak Preview - Practically Perfect

Are you ready for another VERVEalicious release? On Sunday, March 8th, Verve is releasing 8 new sets and 5 Plain Janes!!!! Can you stand it? Stay tuned this week to catch a peek at the new sets! Today we have a sneak preview of Practically Perfect for you!

You knew when Verve introduced a baby set it would be classy and adorable and chock full of fabuous sentiments! Well that's exactly the way it is!

I chose to go with the girl and pink, since both my babies fell into that category! I pulled out some old designer paper, added pearls, flowers and Cotton Candy stickles and tied it off with pink ribbon! Don't you just love all those "girlie" things? A perfect little acknowledgement for a new little bundle of joy! Recipe: Stamps: Practically Perfect (Verve), Paper: PTI Whte, Pirouette Pink, Holiday Happenings DP, Ink: Versafine Onyx Black Accessories: Labels one (Spellbinders), Watercolour crayons & aquapainter, Pirouette Pink ribbon, dimensionals (SU), Prima Flowers, adhesive pearls (Michaels), Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger)

from Guest Diva Jodi Collins:

Practically Perfect is my favorite set of this release!! I just adore this sassy little bunny with her big hair bow and fancy necklace and she is so much fun to color! This set is full of wonderful sentiments that just make my heart melt! I just know I will use this set over and over making cards for all the little people in my life.

from Diva Charmaine Ikach:
I thought the Practically Perfect set was not "practically" perfect, but absolutely perfect! The ADORABLE bunny images (both boy and girl bunnies) and the perfect sentiments (14 of them to be exact!) to go with the bunnies make this set a "must have" for all your baby needs. Not only is it perfect for the "welcome" and "congrats" cards you need to make, it's perfect for the "little miracle" and "praying for baby" cards too!

Like what you see? Well, this Verve-alicious set could be coming home to you! Just leave us a comment with the answer to the following question (see below) by Sunday March 8 at Noon (Mountain Time) and you could be the lucky winner! Winners will be announced at our release party on Sunday night (it starts at 8 PM ET in the Verve Forum on SCS—so mark your calendar NOW)! And for even more chances to win Verve goodies, be sure to participate in this week’s Mojo Monday sketch contest on the Mojo Monday Blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Your Question: What was your favorite childhood toy?

  1. I had two that I can remember; one was a stuffed monkey holding a plastic banana (I think my baby brother chewed the banana up), and a stuffed koala.

  2. OMG, I can't wait for the release! I have been waiting for the perfect baby set and this might be it! My fave toy was probably my brothers!!! LOL Ok, my cabbage patch doll!

    ReplyDelete
  3. What a sweet set! Ummm... my favorite toy(s) were my two Breyer horses. I really didn't have a lot of toys that weren't hand-me-downs from 4 older brothers and sisters, and the horses were my *very own*.

  4. This set is so sweet!! I love the sentiments (no surprise there)!!!
My fave childhood toy was a stuffed pig. I use to take it for bike rides with me and cried the day he fell off and got dirty. I think my mom still has him :)

  5. Fvorite toy really depended on my age. The big ones I can remember are my Cabbage Patch Doll, Dodie (still have her), my Teddy Bear, Max (still have him), and legos (used to make all sorts of stuff with those legos!)

  6. Oh my gosh! These stamps are perfect for baby cards. My favorite childhood toy was a teddy bear my brothers gave me my first Christmas. He has the most adorable little bib with an apple on it, and if you squeeze the middle of his tummy (only once a day, he's getting old) he makes the cutest squeaking sound. I still have and love my bear, and let me son use it now. He takes such good care of Teddy that it makes me heart melt.

  7. What a cute stamp set - and great samples! My favorite toy would have been my Holly Hobby doll my mom made me. I took that thing everywhere!

  9. OK, I'm dating myself, but my favorite toy was a Chatty Cathy doll! You pulled a string at the back of her neck and she said things! I played with her so much that she had to be sent to the doll hospital to get her voice back!! Looking forward to this new release!

  10. My favorite toy was a crib that my father made me. He took such care in making it perfect and gave one to me and my sister. Our baby dolls were never so comfortable. Gosh I haven't thought of that crib in ages. This stamp set is just absolutely perfect for baby cards. I love Verve Stamps and the sentiments are just perfect for every occation. Thanks for the wonderful product.

  11. My favorite childhood toy was my Fashion Plates. You used them to emboss the shape of a girl on your paper. Then you could emboss patterns on her clothes to give her whatever kind of stylish wear you wanted. Kindof like embossing and coloring images that I do now with stamps! I still have my original set and the add on I received later. Love love love that toy!

  12. That is an adorable stamp set and the designers have created fabulous cards with it. My favorite toy was my Barbie doll. She went everywhere with me and my barbie was totally styling with a barbie mansion, a convertible and a posh little puppy (kinda like Paris Hilton today.....hmmmmm I wonder if she had the same Barbie stuff as I did....LOL).

My favourite toy as a child is easy. It was the dollhouse my Dad made for my sister and I. I loved it!! It was huge and had real tiles on the floor and shingles on the roof. Sad ending to this story though - we had a housefire when I was younger and it didn't make it through. I still miss that house, especially now when I have a daughter who would get enjoyment out of it. :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. My favorite toy would have to be my Barbie's!!!! I am a girly girl at heart!

    ReplyDelete

If we went on a bike ride, it went with me. If we rode our horses, it went with me. Now...the embarrassing part. I didn't give it up until I was a senior in high school and ended up losing it! Haha! 117. Hmmm....I had many toys that I loved, especially stuffed animals. The first one I recalled was a tiny teddy bear that I called Baby Bear. Don't know where he came from, but there was a big bear too and since he was small he was the baby. I took him EVERYWHERE!

  118. My favorite was my Tiny Tears doll--does that tell you how old I am?

  119. My favorite was a blue pedal car that my brother and I would ride in. You had to push the pedals with your feet to make it move and we would go all over the yard. No cement or pavement for us!
    Cute stamp set!

  121. Y'all are killing us with these sneak peeks! I can't wait to see the entire set!

I'm not sure I can remember back that far! LOL! I do recall a doll my grandmother made me that had button eyes that she was forever having to replace the buttons on. What I would give to still have that doll today! Thanks for the memory!

  125. I loved my beloved teddy bear--even still have him after 50 years! He looks like he's been through the ringer, but my nearly grown boys get a kick out of him.

  127. My favorite toy as a child were my brothers... Oh the trouble we could get into! If people don't count, then I would have to say... the metal swords my brother made us to play pirates! Again, SO much trouble!

  128. I had a little tan stuffed monkey that I loved. It had to be washed after my brother put him in the toilet, but I still loved it!

  135. Favorite childhood toy - well, I wasn't much of a doll person, but I did love my Chatty Cathy - was quite sad when my brother's friend sat on her and broke her legs off. She was never quite as Chatty after that... :( Probably spent more time playing with my Spirograph though...

  137. Wonderful stamp beautifully displayed. My favorite toy was my baby doll which I still have. I am 55 and I take it out each Christmas to put under the tree in the sled my dad made for her.
